Can we do contract extensions at any time? I was just wondering how to go about do it? I read about it, and I was looking to extend Billy Butler. So I look at the last two years and find which one he is the highest at CI and then extend him accordingly?

ok butler was 27th...$8.5 mil per year...now does that count for this year or begin next year?
