Title: NYY-SF Trade Part II 7/14/18

This would have been included in the Edwin Encarnacion trade, but because of the 60 day moratorium, it is being consummated as a separate deal. The 60 day moratorium for Johnny Field ends on July 14th, so that is the date the trade will be listed as.

Although Ian Gardeck has had two Tommy John surgeries, the MLB Giants have stuck with him because of the promise he has shown when he pitched, so he’s someone who can be stashed on the FGM Giants MiLB roster to see if he pans out.  Johnny Fields, as a (P-n/a), plays sporadically, and is currently on the Giants MiLB roster, so he can help the Yankees in their rebuild, but isn’t a player who can help the Giants in 2018.

Yankees trade:
RP Gardeck, Ian, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Giants trade:
OF Field, Johnny, $0.5m (P-n/a)
