Title: San Jose/BOS trade prospects for Defenceman and Center
Post by: Rock On on May 16, 2018, 08:39:23 PM

:SJ: receives
Michael Del Zotto, $3.2m (2017-2020)
Jori Lehtera, $1.5m (2017-2020)

:BOS-NHL: receives
G - Ryan Bednard (2015: 7/206 - 0 Games)
D - Jeremy Roy (2015: 2/31 - 0 Games)
C - Theodor Blueger (2012: 2/52 - 0 Games)

We traded in some prospects to pickup a defenceman to help out on my blueline. Jori was a throw in but could have a bounce back yr.

:BOS-NHL: Bs agree. I unload a contract (Lehtera) that didn't help us while clearing some cap (MDZ) for other moves we need to make this summer. The specs are good with Blueger being the closest to playing in the big leagues anytime soon. Thanks for the trade Rock!

Really like this deal for both sides. Bs get solid but risky prospects. Sharks gets a good d-man and some dead weight in Lehtera.

I believe San Jose comes out ahead in this trade. There is immediate help for the Sharks while Boston needs to wait another year or two for the prospects to develop.

:thumbsup::iatp: Good deal for the Sharks here. Might work out for Boston but prospects are a tough bunch to predict.

:iatp: Sharks land a good Dman here and it didn't cost much.

:iatp: Cap trade for sure. Bruins are dealing a useful Dman in MDZ to clear cap.
