Max Pacioretty, $7.1m (2014-2018) [extended by Detroit on 4/8/18 Max Pacioretty, $8.1m (2018-2022)]

To Detroit
Zach Hyman, $2.3m (2017-2020)
D - Brett Lernout (2014: 3/73 - 0 Games)

This is a bit of a cap move on Detroit's end, might regret it later, but NJ wore me down. Hyman had a good sophomore season and Lernout shows promise. I'm also trading a Wolverine for a Wolverine, so I still keep my quota.

NJ was looking for an anchor for years and saw Max was available. Thanks for working on a deal with me and best of luck to a dangerous Detroit team this coming season.

New Jersey is most likely in the red given this and the other trade with Edmonton to acquire Zetterberg. I will call this a split and depending how the team use their new assets, this trade could easily become a big win for one team.

Both DET & NJ submitted extension for Pacioretty but because Fantrax has a player ranking problem, the extension will need to be reviewed by the owner and resubmitted.
