The Atlanta Herald is breaking news on another huge move by the Braves;
Brewers Trade
Odebul Herrera (1.25M; arb through ‘20)
Blake Snell (480k; arb through ‘21)
Chi chi Gonzales (537k; arb through ‘20)
Mitch Garver (400k; arb through ‘23)
Sean Murphy (spec)
Josh Naylor (spec)
Braves Trade
Charlie Blackmon (7.3M; arb through ‘19)
Russell Martin (9.5M through ‘19)
Adam Ottovino (2.1M ‘18)
1M in ‘18 Compensation toward blackmon’s salary
Braves have three pronged approach to this move; clears $15M of cap, builds the farm, more sustainable assets post ‘19. Great deal for both clubs.

What a deal, and definitley one of the tougher decisions but Brewers accept.
Hate to lose Herrera/Snell, especially since I just got Snell and both are on such friendly contracts but when you get offered a guy like Blackmon it's hard to pass up. Still, it was being able to also get Martin that sealed the deal for me as I had nothing at catcher. Taking on so much salary was not ideal but I'll make it work and still have enough to go after certain pitchers.
