Title: releasing retired player - Aaron Boone
Post by: ksquakes on February 25, 2010, 09:10:37 AM
From recent update under Rules Committee thread a retired player doesn't take hit on cap per my understanding, if that is in effect, please release my retired player:
CI Boone, Aaron, $1m (2010)

No such rule was ever passed.  There are possible discussions, but a clear presentation hasn't even been brought up, nor has there been voting.  Releasing him will do nothing for your team financially.

I had seen his K with 2009 in my team pages and just recently it seemed that he was 2010, I didn't do anything to add a year, per what Dan reflected is what I have seen, can this be researched as to why he now has a 2010 K when in some pages he reflected as 2009?
Per Dan Wood:
On a search of the site I found this...

"in Franchise GM
Houston Astros by Colby

    ...  (2009)
    Bogusevic, Brian, $0.5m (P-n/a)
    Boone, Aaron, $1m (2009)
    Bourn, Michael, $0. ...

   19.2%    Colby    June 29, 2009, 12:46:35 PM"

I did my research and could not find anything regarding a Boone extension.  Dan can clear this up for you.
