Giants trade:
SP Moore, Matt, $4m (2018)     
SP Stratton, Chris, $0.5m (P-2020)

Nationals trade:
OF Altherr, Aaron, $0.5m (P-2019)

Although it always pains me to trade away Giants players, the Giants are giving up two SPs for a young OF that, if he can stay healthy, could be very productive.  Both teams are filling a need:  The Nationals are looking for pitching and the Giants add to a cast of OFs that will hopefully produce 3 starters.

Nats confirm, this fills my needs for pitching. I wasn't looking to trade Altherr, I think he's up for good things this year, but I need arms, and got 2 starters I like going into 2018. Hopefully Moore won't get ruffed up in Texas, but here's betting on a turn around from 2017. Thanks Flash!
