P Knapp, Jason

I don't think players acquired via trade are eligible... the temporary exception is only for free agents since some teams felt they should have had the opportunity to protect prospects that a previous GM missed last year.

I think the Indians meant Jason Kipnis and not Knapp.  Knapp should not be eligible per the rules posted by the Brew Crew.

him too though, there is no rule so I thought I could do this!

plus, that is another reason why I did the trade.

You cannot put someone on the EDR if he has been on another Franchise GM team.

"Only players drafted by the current team are eligible for the EDR, players acquired via trade or free agency are not unless that player 1) has never been on a Franchise GM roster before AND 2) was drafted in real life by that franchise."
