NJ sends
D - Josh Anderson (2016: 3/71 - 0 Games)
Vegas does this deal for roster flexibility as we attempted with SJ. We cannot release Pulkinnen and the price to move him was an active Dman.
NJ to confirm
-
Devils confirm. After trade has been approved New Jersey will be trading Pulkinnen to Toronto for a number 1 pick in the 2018 supplemental draft. Toronto to confirm.

Not sure this trade can happen since NJ only has space for 1 player before hitting the roster max of 30.

This is what I meant when I said people are confused.
Since I've been in FNHL team's have been allowed to trade beyond the 30 player roster limit and also sign FA beyond that limit, so long as you made a corresponding move within 24 hours that made you compliant.
There are warnings and violations on team pages all over the place that read like this..."Oct26-14 - Failed to clear roster spot for Free Agent signing within 24hrs of closing (Warning #1 Nate Prosser)."
Now we got people vetoing because they think it's a violation to be a player over. This is getting out of hand.
The SJ trade didn't go thru because he was "already" above 30 players.
Mods need to clarify the rules for the few who don't know them please, so we can get back to hockey.

Daddy, it appears you are confused.
Offseason teams can go over the roster and cap ceiling by 10%.
Regular season the rules are there and clear. Same since the start of the league 8 yrs back.
