To Toronto:
D - Miro Heiskanen (2017: 1/3 - 0 Games)
PIT-NHL: Josh Gorges, $0.5m (2016-2018)
To VGK
D - Mason Geertsen (2013: 4/93 - 0 Games)
D - Haydn Fleury (2014: 1/7 - 0 Games)
D - Louis Belpedio (2014: 3/80 - 0 Games)
Toronto 2nd rd supplemental pick SDP 2018
Vegas has impatient ownership, we know. Heiskanen is the best player moving in this trade but won't come to the states till next year. Fleury is up now having cooked in the minors already, and Geertson/Belpedio are 2 Dmen we are very familiar with and like a lot to offset what we may lose in Fleury for Heiskanen.
The pick in the sup draft also helps balance the trade, as well as ridding ourselves of Gorges who has depth value but was not in our long term plans. I want to say, I REALLY LIKE Haydn Fleury probably more than most. He skates, hits, shoots, and we know his game well. Thanks for the deal. Toronto management to confirm

Toronto brass confirm this trade. Its not everyday you pick up a skater from the Blue line that can skate the way Miro does. He has great positioning and can thread the needle on the distribution pass. The kid has a hockey IQ off the chart and another year in the Finnish Liiga wont hurt at all. It more so helps out Dallas (NHL) for they have a log jam at the blue line this year. Also coming over in the deal is Josh Georges who is a bottom pairing Dman with grit to his game and will fill Heiskanen's spot this year. On the way out are 3 good prospects we have been waiting for Hayden Fleury was reunited with his brother Cale for a briefe moment. Hayden is a solid player who adds the now need for points that Vegas needs. Belpedio is skating his senior year at Miami University (Ohio), he is a puck moving Dman with upside. Mason Geertsen is a fierce competitor who loves to hit and has solid positional play, he should be up mid season for Colorado (NHL). Thanks for the easy talks Daddy. Good Luck this season

Daddy's first and only ever draft pick in FNHL and he doesn't even make it a month....
Approve
Trade is good on both ends, I'd much rather have Toronto's side though. I wonder if Fleury actually sticks this year... Carolina is pretty deep on D.

Approved.
Both teams get good prospect players to build with.

Interesting move by Vegas. Daddy Scouting inc. was quick to move Miro, who they tabbed as 3rd best player in draft. As a Canes fan, we know Fleury as Slavin Lite. I'm still more excited with the addition of TVR and Bean's value offensively. Fleury should win that left D with TVR on the 3rd line and we will see if he can keep it.

I love the conversation.
The way Vegas sees it is we added 3 potential free blueliners for the only one we had. With no one in our minors accept Miro, we figured we would split him into 3 commodities, maybe even 4 if we keep the sup pick.
I don't pretend to know prospects like most, I've made both good and bad deals since 2014 when I joined.
Damn if I don't love me some Fleury. He skates top end for a Dman, I would say even for a forward. He is Big, and while he isn't A+ type physical, to me he is a solid B on a scale of A-F. Offensively he is a plus guy with a Heavy Shot. I've been on him for 3 years now. In 4 years I think he will be one of the best in the entire league as a true all around Dman.
Geertson is a monster. Solid A physical type, a stay at home punisher who will never be confused with a Connor Carrick type. Very limited offensive upside but a Gorrilla on the back end. 2-3yrs out i think.
Finally Belpedio maybe anywhere from 3-5 yrs out as he has not improved on the same curb as his classmate Fleury. I think staying in college hurt his growth. However he has been named captain everywhere he has been and this includes team's that had last season's top picks when they were juniors. He has upside and I think he will be solid.
I love Miro, he is A+ talent imo, but guys get injured, guys can miss as prospects, and maybe he will just be great, but I think I got 3 guys for him that all will make the NHL and play 82 free games before I call them up. It's a gamble but it's fun to gamble.

Daddy Belpedio will play out like this. Finish his 4th year in College, 1 year in the AHL then he will hit the NHL. That's how I see it. So I will give you the 3rd which is really 2 in my book.

Approved. Daddy first draft pick.......gone!
