Cubs aren't too excited about some of the FA options so would like to extend the following players:
C McCann, Brian, $12m (2017)
Extension: C-23 in 2017, C-9 in 2016 = $4m. 70% minimum of $12m = $8.5m for 2 years (2019)
CI Cabrera, Miguel, $18m (2017)
Extension: CI-53 in 2017, CI-8 in 2016 = $15m for 2 years (2019)
MI Pedroia, Dustin, $8m (2017)
Exension: MI-23 in 2017, MI-9 in 2016 = $10.5m for 2 years (2019)
EDITED: Rounded McCann's contract to the nearest $500k.
