I propose that we extend the Championship round from 1 to 2 weeks by not skipping the last week of the season. We are skipping the week of 9/19 through 9/25 even though the season doesn't end until 9/28. Teams will use the week of 9/26 through 9/28 to set their playoff rotations and rest their players.

This was argued last year as teams start to rest their players or shut down guys 10-12 days prior to the end of the season. Currently, the LDS and LCS are each one week long with the WS lasting two weeks.

For sure, I argued to use the system we are now using. I was in the World Series and Texiera was benched 4 games that week for rest. Totally Dumb!
I like the way it is now

It definitely needs to stay as is. There are too many of the best players sitting on the bench that week.

We could always entertain shortening the regular season by a week to start the playoffs one week earlier, allowing for a two week LCS round.

I agree that the playoffs should not run into the final week of the regular season. I have seen many teams get screwed in this league as well as in others because of that.
