Title: Vegas/Detroit Deal
Post by: izaman3 on July 17, 2017, 11:28:08 AM
Detroit is pleased to get a trade on the board, its been way too long for this organization and its ownership. Detroit welcomes newly formed Vegas with this deal.

To Vegas
Adam Henrique, $6.1m (2016-2020)
Robbie Russo, $0.4m (2016-2018)

To Detroit
:WAS-NHL3: Kasperi Kapanen, $0.2m (2016-2018)
:NJD: Danny DeKeyser, $3.0m (2015-2018)
:CLS: John Mitchell, $0.2m (2016-2018)

Detroit makes this trade to get a good young player in Kapanen and open up a little bit of cap space. Vegas gets a good center, a d-man on the cusp, and one more roster spot that can be used in FA.

Thanks for the trade Daddy

I like Kapanen, but Toronto is so deep and loaded he may be looking at a bottom 6 roll for awhile despite being the man for the Marlies. Maybe he becomes the man, but he won't outpoint Henrique for awhile.

I get to dump Mitchell, open a spot, add a youthful blueliner...all and all I like this deal and confirm it.

Thank you for reaching out, I think your a great GM.
