My team has been notified that the playoffs have begun and plan to finally show up today.
-
Phillies slacking after two days. Cleveland is prime for an upset over New York!
-
Injuries are catching up to me. Worst time for it to happen but we will continue to fight until the end. Go Michael Martinez!!!!
-
the yanks put a little room between themselves and the indians today with king felix's 98 point outting as well as some solid outings from 3 players so far today. OH and CC is going tonight!!
-
Didn't the A's drop a goose egg against the Jays in last year's ALDS?
-
Really? They didnt score a point???

oakland beat toronto last year in the playoffs.
-
Fantrax Live Scoring isn't helping much. Brandon Allen had 2 HRs yesterday. It is right on his player page but they are showing it as 2 singles on Live scoring.
-
oakland beat toronto last year in the playoffs.
My bad; it was the other way around?
-
oakland did lay an egg against the yankees last year. This figures I have the high score in the league last week, now this.

Well, we all know what Billy Beane says about the playoffs.

Defending pennant winners are putting up big points in the LDS while the #1 teams of the regular season aren't even past 300 points. The Yankees are looking good to make it to their third straight World Series. The Brewers are starting off well these playoffs unlike the previous two seasons.
-
The Brewers have the best lead thus far followed by the Yankees. Oakland is making up some ground and the Cards/Dodgers series is a great one thus far!
:STL: St. Louis... 1051 vs. :LAD: Los Angeles... 1277
:PHI: Philadelphia... 303 vs. :MIL: Milwaukee... 955
:CLE: Cleveland... 709 vs. :NYY: New York Yankees 1057
:OAK: Oakland... 484 vs. :TOR: Toronto Blue... 736
-
The Brewers have this one on lock down. The Indians have Gallardo and Santana pitching tonight in an effort to catch up to the Yankees tomorrow. The Jays have Bedard and Harang pitching today. The Athletics have three starts left and need their position players to post some stats. The Cards can only do so much with three of the lesser SPs pitching this weekend.
:STL: St. Louis... 1213 vs. :LAD: Los Angeles... 1581
:PHI: Philadelphia... 416 vs. :MIL: Milwaukee... 1548
:CLE: Cleveland... 939 vs. :NYY: New York Yankees 1332
:OAK: Oakland... 713 vs. :TOR: Toronto Blue... 972

Wow. 4 out of 8 teams have less than 1,000 points going into Saturday's games. What happened to all the scoring this week?
-
I would be interested to see the amount of starts/innings used be each team and how it correlates to winning their series.
-
Ur right inning pitched killed me and injuires did! Why this week.
-
This is turning into the biggest one day choke job ever...
-
updates?

:NYY: 1731 :CLE:1351
:TOR: 1180 :OAK: 971 Teix/Cano needs to 5 for 5 with 3 HRs
:MIL: 1892 :PHI: 715

I'm so glad my team waited until the playoffs to have their worst week of the year.
Congrats Ben!!! Your team is fantastic! Good luck the rest of the way!!! :toth:
-
My phone keeps resetting on me, so someone else will need to post the scores.
NLCS: Dodgers vs. Brewers
ALCS: Yankees vs. Blue Jays
-
Congrats to the Jays, good week. Good luck to the Jays and all teams remaining in the playoffs.
-
Congrats to the Dodgers and good luck to everyone else still in the playoffs! We came up a little short with Infante and Bonifacio scratched by Irene on Saturday after the lineups were set.
-
Thanks Rob. Looks like I got my revenge from last year's ALDS. Good luck next year, I basically got lucky this week, our matchup could had gone either way. But now I must face my largest foe. No hard feelings Dan, but I am hoping you have a Phillies-like debacle this week. :taco:

Congrats to you too sir on your excellent season, the Phils are a great team and I was definitely scared to face them. When it comes to two great teams in the playoffs, it's just a flip of the coin.

Brutal start and not having internet back yet at home doesn't help, leaving Posada in instead of Mauer.

After some early games today (and some still in progress):
TOR 499, NYY 477
LAD 956, MIL 800
LA has a "Illegal Roster - see Team Roster screen for details" with 6 SP scheduled for Sunday. Looks like your still getting points for today, but will want to get that fixed before Sunday or you'll get screwed.
-

Screen shot of the stats for all teams so far in the LCS round (as of 4:30PM today), keeping in mind that only the 4 competing teams have probably set their rosters up.

Thanks for noticing it, I was wondering why that message came up.

Dodgers - Yankees two years in a row is highly likely. I am rooting for the underdogs. Go Brewers and Blue Jays!
-
the yankees fully expect to win it all and bring the trophy back to where it belongs lol
-
Wow this playoffs have been real nail-biters! Hoping my Jays can hold up their lead today. 1 SP (Francis) to go today while the Yanks have Sabathia and Lackey, but my Jays holding a 185 point lead so far. Jays 1091 - Yanks 906.
On the NL, Ben's Brewers continue to diminish the lead but remain 190 points back. LA 1650 - MIL 1460.
Good luck to all but the yank today lol. (again, no hard feelings dan :toast:)
-
With almost all games over, the Jays lead the Yankees 1491 to 1083 and the Dodgers lead the Brewers 2034 to 1748. Looks like it will be an unprecedented WS between the Jays and Dodgers. I am torn that I now have to beat my favorite team! Can't believe my Jays have gotten this far, what a season. I have to thank the real-life Padres for my success. Giving Guzman (my favorite Venezuelan player for years in Winter ball) the opportunity to play regularly has given me the consistent bat I was lacking early on.
-
Congrats Daniel I hope u bring the crown back to the AL east man the guys u have on your team mo way I thought would outscore mine obviously I was wrong lol congrats
-
Good luck in the finals Daniel. Ben that was a hell of a matchup, every time I look at your roster, I couldn't help but realize how much better your team will become down the road.

Great matchup, probably one of our higher scoring playoff series... good luck in the WS!

Can someone please confirm the inning limit for the WS is 170?

Two separate weeks of 85 IP limits.

Thanks Dan, I never expected to beat the powerhouse Yankees, but I guess that is the way it goes with the playoffs. In the end luck is a must. Good luck to u 2 howe. Two stressful weeks to go!

I just realized Daniel has 0 Jays players whereas I have 4.
Also, I didn't know where the Dodgers name came from until 5 minutes ago:
Dodgers is a shortened form of Trolley Dodgers what fans of the Dodgers were called because they had to Dodge the trolleys that crisscrossed Brooklyn in the early 20th century.
-
Thanks for the info Howe, that's a cool little story...it's tidbits like that that help me keep the "Mrs." semi-interested in fantasy sports which in turns allows me to stay active in them :toast:
-
After one week my Jays with no Jays players are barely edging the Dodgers 1207 to 1148. By the way my 40-man roster is 20% Venezuelan :winner:
