Title: Penguins and Rangers fill needs with deal
Post by: jackdaniels on August 23, 2011, 07:57:53 PM

Traded to Pens
(Defence) Dan Girardi, $3.3m (2013-2014)
NYR Round 2 - 2011

Traded to Blueshirts
(Left Wing on Fantrax) Tyler Kennedy, $1.7m (2011-2012)
(Right Wing) Derek Dorsett, $0.2m (2011-2012)
(Defence) Zybnek Michalek, $4.0m (2014-2015)

For trade committee's approval.

Cubs and I wanted to fill some holes. Dorsett was added as a rework and as compensation I asked them to take on Michalek's contract as well. We're both pleased with this deal.

:toast: Thanks for the easy going negotiations gocubsgo! A1 all the way!
