Title: Rangers buyout/retirement
Post by: Anthony on August 19, 2011, 10:15:28 PM
Chris Drury, $7.1m (2011-2012) he just retired and i dont want to be on the hook for 7.1m. if the rule is the same as death then hopefully he is dropped with no penalty

In the NHL, if a player retires and is under the age of 35 years old his salary is removed from the cap. If this league follows the same rules then you might luck out.

Sorry my friend you are on the hook for 2 thirds... We don't have a retirement clause yet and i don't think we are going to. With the amount of money other teams are signing older free agents to, teams need to be acountable to their decisions.

Just think your lucky it's only one year.

Just think your lucky it's only one year.

That is the silver lining here.
