Title: Trade: Astros / Padres
Post by: chrisetc21 on February 28, 2017, 04:14:08 PM

Astros Trade
Jackie Bradley, Jr. $480k (3rd)

Padres Trade
Kyle Tucker
Cody Sedlock
2018 1st round draft pick
Anthony Bass $750k (4th)

Astros make the trade to further stock my system.  I've been after Tucker for a while.  He's probably my 2nd favorite prospect to Cody Bellinger and I'm happy to have both of them in the fold now.  Sedlock is a college pitcher with good upside and I'm always looking to add picks so I'm happy with my return on Bradley.  Losing Bradley gives me a hole for the meantime but I'm expecting some promotions with Bradley Zimmer, Austin Meadows, and probably Bellinger that will hopefully fill that gap by the time the playoffs roll around.  Bass is a salary cap throw in to give the Padres room to add Bradley.  Thanks to Rick for negotiations.

Padres needed a quality CF to fill out their roster. Bradley is just that. hated to give up Tucker, as he is going to a stud, but to get a quality player, you have to give up quality.
