Cubs accept. Not exactly a blockbuster but this should help fill my RP and milb depth needs and frees up some salary for next yearhopefully my extremely shallow team makes it through the year and can make a splash in FA next year. Thanks for the quick negotiations.

Does anyone believe in miracles? If David Wright can play in 80 games or so it certainly will be. The Giants are taking a flyer on David Wright in hopes that he can stay healthy enough to contribute at some point during the 2017 season. With a real cap obligation of $1.5m, it's a low risk gamble, and although the players given up provide the Cubs with some depth, they were not critical pieces for the Giants. Giving up Wade was tough because I think he will be a solid player in the future, but he's still a few years away. If Wright suffers another injury riddled year :doh:, then the Cash Exchange will help with a Contract Buyout, so it's a low-risk, high reward gamble for the Giants.
