Title: Trade: Astros / Giants
Post by: chrisetc21 on January 29, 2017, 11:57:24 AM

Astros Trade
Gio Gonzalez $8.5m (2020)
$8.5m covered in 2017

Giants Trade
2017 1st and 2nd round picks
2018 1st and 2nd round picks

Astros make the trade to acquire more picks.  It's probably a little iffy to trade Gio in his prime right now but my goal has always been to continue building my farm to have a pipeline to the majors for an extended period of time.  I'm hopeful some of my young pitching will step up and fill the void either this season or next season.
