Title: Angels/Nationals trade second attempt
Post by: Maydab23 on January 13, 2017, 07:14:37 PM

:LAA: trades

SP Hyun-Jin Ryu 7M

:WAS: trades

2017 rd 4-10 picks
2018 rd 4-6 picks

Second attempt at deal due to Nationals pick not actually being theirs to trade in last deal. In this one Bandy was removed and the nationals are sending multiple lower picks instead of the first rounder from before.

Angels approve and do deal as the picks might be nice in the future even if they are lower and this opens up a roster spot and some money to create flexibility. Ryu may come back and be great value at 7M but he might not and I don't really want to take the chance.

Washington confirms, sorry about the last everyone, I should have checked my picks. Draft picks aren't part of my game, so trading them for players is my MO. I do feel ryu will return to form, but that's to be seen, and gamble I'm willing to to make.
