Title: From this moment forward - FA Prospect bidding
Post by: Dan Wood on February 16, 2010, 01:34:18 PM
Any prospect that is put up for bid, must have their MLB affiliated team in the message body. There have now been two players (possibly more) that have been bid on, and won, that are not in an MLB organization. This was brought up at the very beginning of OFA, and bidding on such players is illegal until they have a contract from an MLB team. Speculation to a signing does not count as a contract. As I go through the rosters, any such players I find will be released. This is now costing me time and effort. Please do follow the rules from this moment forward.

Thank You,
Dan

This will be moved to the main board shortly, but I know most people head straight here, and I want it to be viewed.

I feel your pain Dan. Would it be helpful for us to modify our current bids to reflect the prospects MLB team?

No need to modify Rick, thank you, just from this moment forward. Some of the prospects we all throw out there would make Baseball America go who the eff is that?
