Hurricanes Trade:

TJ Oshie, $5.5m (2015-2019)
Trevor Van Riemsdyk, $0.2m (2015-2017)

Sharks Trade:
Mikko Rantanen, $2.5m (2016-2018-EL)
Alex Goligoski, $5.5m (2014-2018)
C - Jack Roslovic (2015: 1/25 - 0 Games)
LW - Nikita Gusev (2012: 7/202 - 0 Games)

I hate to trade Oshie but after much thought I decided we need to stick with the youth movement. We get two pretty good prospects and a potential wildcard in Gusev. I'll be honest Goligoski has a god awful contract and will likely have a new home before christmas(bid him up boys)

Indians' philosophy is to win now so he gets a prime Oshie and a more than capable D Man in Van Riemsdyk. I figured I'd likely lose him in the expansion draft anyway so no big loss(sorry daddy) although I would have like to have held on to him.

Sharks agree i add a great player i like alot and one player daddy wont be getting during draft. Win win for me.😄

It's a nice trade fellas, and I like the strategy of moving a draft eligible asset in a youth movement year.

Brian should love Oshie and it's worth a bad contract if you have the cap to go youth. (Some jabroni must have signed him to that deal.  :o )

Sharks are sending out more salary than they are taking back. Hurricanes have 4m in cap space.
