Title: Cats + Sabres Deal

Florida and Buffalo complete a trade.

GOING TO BUFFALO
Evgeny Kuznetsov, $7.1m (2016-2020)
Nicolas Deslauriers, $0.2m (2016-2018)

GOING TO FLORIDA
Jussi Jokinen, $2.1m (2015-2018)
Marko Dano, $1.0m (2015-2018-EL)
LW - Brendan Lemieux (2014: 2/31 - 0 Games)

Shaving some salary now for moves we anticipate later on. Kuznetsov is young a super talented player but didnt show it while on my Cats roster. We get Dano back, just like we reached out and brought back Kucherov, Nino and Teuvo after initially trading them off.

Good back and forth with Burke. :toast:

We're doing this for now and the future.
Kuznetsov will return to form. Then he won't be on the block but everyone's wishlist. :thumbsup: Jussi is good but getting older so didn't have a problem sending him packing with some younger guys to complete this trade. Thanks for the quick turnaround PR. :toast:

:iatp: Kuznetsov is hard to read. Should be having a great season building on what he did last yr but not happening. Maybe success got to his head.

The edge goes to Florida for gaining cap space in addition to some productive players. All in all, a good trade for both teams.

Kuz has started to score some, with 4 points in a 3 game point streak. The 24 yr old has a chance to turn it around, but it would be hard to find  a worse contract given the production (at least of the healthy players).
