Title: A's extend McCutchen

The Oakland A's are happy to extend OF McCutchen, Andrew, $0.5m (P-2012).

2011 - 2411.6 = #15 OF
2010 - 3136.4 = #13 OF

#13 OF ranking = $14.5m, using the prospect extension $14.5 * .50 = $7.25m rounded is $7.5m per year for five years. 

OF McCutchen, Andrew, $7.5m (2016)

I replaced the 2012 $0.5m with 7.5m, since I get the extension.  If this is not correct and the contract kicks in following this contract, his contract will be through 2017.  Please confirm.

I don't think the extension dollars kick in until 2013, but the term is correct.

I think they kick in right away.... starting in 2012

That is the way we did Ike Davis, he was P-2013, so he would have 2 more seasons at $0.5m if not.  I thought that they kicked in immediately, that is part of getting the discount.  Just want to make sure.
