White Sox trade:
CI/MI Lawrie, Brett, $4m (2017)
OF Eaton, Adam, $5m (2021)

Giants trade:
CI Duffy, Matt, $0.5m (P-2018)   
CI Joseph, Tommy, $0.5m (P-2019)
SP-RP Marquez, German, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Ynoa, Gabriel, $0.5m (P-n/a)
RP Wittgren, Nick, $0.5m (P-2019)

After several weeks of negotiations, the Giants have finally secured an OF to solidify their lineup.  The Giants believe that Adam Eaton is the player they have been searching for.  Although it's tough to lose a team favorite in Matt Duffy, and a promising player in Tommy Joseph, the Giants needed a productive everyday OF.  Marquez and Ynoa are  promising pitching prospects, but sometimes you have to take a chance and shake things up a bit.  The Giants are hopeful that Brett Lawrie can stay healthy and be a productive MI once again.  The Giants will look to free agency to get a cheap arm or two to offset the pitching that is lost.

The White Sox need to confirm.

White sox confirm. This trade gives us more cap room to help fill out our roster in FA. Plus we get several pieces to build with and all are on favorable contracts. Hopefully this trade helps both teams now and in the future. Thanks flash for the easy talks.  :toth:
