PPG CLEANS UP DIFFICULT TO READ TRADE LIST
The Devils and Carolina have agreed on the following trade:

D - Andrew Peeke (2016: 2/34 - 0 Games)
G - Malcolm Subban (2012: 1/24 - 1 Game) GP updated Feb1, 2016
C - Trent Frederic (2016: 1/29 - 0 Games)
For
:CAR-NHL: Canes trade:
G Chad Johnson, $4.8m (2016-2019)
Devils part with a lot to get Johnson, but needed another goal tender. Halo99 to confirm

Carolina confirms
Tough to give up a starting goalie but I got a good player and a couple of good prospects in return. Subban is a little bit suspect at this point but if he finds his game again it will be a great trade for me.
One factor in trading him was the expansion draft. Whoever takes over Vegas is going to look at my roster and realize there are slim pickings available so I would have been at risk to lose him. It would be devastating to lose this guy for nothing at this point of the rebuild. I would guess NJ wouldn't have to worry about this as much.

Makes sense given Varlamov is scoring less points and double the cost :o

:iatp: Bold trade

DAMN
Looks like NJ is tired of playing 2nd fiddle and Carolina GM clearly has a long term vision...that is good for the league as a whole.
FNHL baby, this league has juice.
-
I'll have me some of that FNHL juice, Daddy!
:iatp: JJWW taking a run at it. Halo99 building with a vision. All great to see. :toast:

Hard to read.
Seems to be legit. :iatp: Chad Johnson and Cam Ward are suddenly relevant again. Jk. Goalies are always relevant in this league.
-
:thumbsup::iatp: Solid trade for the Canes to restock. Good offensive move by the Devils.
