:PIT: Pirates agree... Thornton would cost $3m next year, and this deal gives us a hidden gem for the future.

I hate to do this, but since Godfrey was signed the way he was, he does not meet p-n/a status.  Is this correct?

When was he signed in this league?

He was signed by the Yanks to a $1m contract, not a prospect contract.  He is still eligible to be in innings pitched, just didn't know if it was the contract or innings pitched.

I think the Mets should sub in another player on a true prospect contract, because I don't think Graham Godfrey qualifies since his contract is $1m (2011).

B) Players eligible for a waiver trade should be mentioned in the rules.  For simplicity, and part realism, we should allow any player on a P-n/a contract to be traded in addition to players that have cleared waivers or been claimed on waivers.

:iatp:  My bad, I didn't even check the Mets roster and assumed he was a spec.  I will take P Withrow, Chris, $0.5m (P-n/a) if Corey agrees.

The Pirates and Mets could not come to a deal and the waiver is cancelled for good. :judge:
