Title: Trade: Astros / Yankees
Post by: chrisetc21 on October 26, 2016, 04:46:19 PM

Astros Trade
Dilson Herrera
2016 1st round pick via :WAS:
2016 2nd round pick via :WAS:
2016 3rd round pick via :WAS:

Yankees Trade
Jose Quintana 4th ($5.4m)
$5.4m salary in 2017
$5m salary in 2018

Astros cashing in some extra picks and a prospect to add a veteran pitcher.  I've been waiting a couple years on Herrera and he always seems right around the corner to playing in MLB but Quintana's consistency and money to cover his contract for a few years makes a lot of sense for my team right now.  Thanks to Yankees for negotiations.  Yankees to confirm.

Yankees confirm. Realizing today, looking at my roster that I'm at least 2 years away so Quintana doesn't do a whole lot for me. Hoping Herrera is the reds opening day 2B and grabbing 3 more early picks to build for a few years from now. Thanks for working it out!
