Title: Toronto-Oakland Trade
Post by: Canto on October 24, 2016, 10:31:25 AM

Toronto send
1B Hanley
P Shawn Kelley
OF Dalton Pompey
P Chris Withrow
P Gavin Floyd

Oakland send
1B Mike Napoli
P Nick Neidert
P Jake Stinnet
OF Jairo Beras
P Heath Fillmyer
P Jeffrey Wendelken

Oakland can improve his hitting with Ramirez, and also get some needed depth in pitching.
I see Pompey at an interesting prospect.
For this package ready to give up on Napoli and some P prospects.
Kevin to confirm

Please add the contract values for any MLB players in your deal.  Thanks.

Toronto accepts this trade.  It is difficult getting rid of Hanley, but I replenished some young pitching that I was looking for.  Napoli helps offset the financial side as he gets paid fairly well.  Wendelken could be in my pen in two years, and the others could be solid back-end type starters if they reach potential.  Beras gives me much needed minor league depth in the OF.  Kelley and Withrow are good cheap relievers, and I needed Pompey to play now.  The cheap exchange in the controllable talent also gave me the chance to move Floyd so I can now keep Brett Lawrie.

I know it took awhile, but I would like to thank David for the clean negotiations.  It took about 20 exchanges lol, but we got it done.

Kevin, Toronto
