Title: Flyers - Rangers agree to big deal
Post by: papps on July 31, 2011, 03:27:46 PM

Flyers and Rangers agree to a goalie blockbuster.

Flyers send
Corey Crawford $12m (2015-2016)
C Brandon Dubinsky $4.2m(2013-2014)
D Oskars Bartulis, $0.6m (2012-2013)

for

Henrik Lundqvist, $6.9m (2013-2014)
Ron Hainsey, $4.5m (2012-2013)

Flyers do this deal to get out from that crazy contract of Crawford.  I give up a good young center but I feel I got a good top 5 goalie and a good price for a few years.  I feel I have the depth to replace Dubinsky.

Rangers to confirm.

im a hawks fan so i know what crawford can do. i take on more cap and give away the better goalie but i lose some age and gain a great center and a good young D

Not a great trade for Rangers taking on a 12m goalie for a 6m goalie but does get the better players and a younger goalie
