Title: Oakland A's Extension
Post by: Needle Juice on February 14, 2010, 08:14:37 PM

The Oakland A's would like to extend the contract of newly acquired OF Raburn, Ryan, $0.5m (P-2010).

We will extend the contract for 3 years at $1m per year.  His ranks for 2009 were 62 for CI and 78 for OF.  His 2008 numbers were insignificant.

OF/CI Raburn, Ryan, $1.0m (2012)

The minimum salary for a 3-year contract is $1.5M/year.

EDIT: my mistake, it looks like you've only signed him for another 2 years so $1.0M is fine.

Ben is correct. You can only extend him for 2 years at 1 mil. So his new contract would cover 2010 and 2011 - buying out one year of his prospect contract
