Cubs would like to extend Yu Darvish:
Current contract: SP Darvish, Yu, $15m (2016)
2015: 0pts
2016: 362.44pts = SP -170 = $0.5m
%70 x current $15m = $10.5m
I believe since it's less than his original contract it can only be two years max, so new contract: $10.5m (2018)
*If I'm wrong and can be extended more years though please let me know and I'll take another look at the length. Thank you.
Cubs would also like to extend Yasel Puig using the Prospect Extension.
Current contract: OF Puig, Yasel, $0.5m (P-2016)
2015: 1166.8pts = OF-102
2016: 789.2pts = OF-94 = $1.5m
Minimum for prospect extensions is $4m, so new contract is: $4m (2021)
