Title: Rays and Dodgers play "let's make a deal"
Post by: VolsRaysBucs on July 16, 2011, 04:06:33 PM

Rays send to Dodgers:
- SP Mike Pelfrey 1M (2011)
- RP Daniel Bard 2.5M (2012)
*2.5M paid on Bard for 2011*
FOR
MI Adrian Cardenas 0.5M (p-n/a)
OF Andrew Lambo 0.5M (p-n/a)

Tampa Bay makes this move to free up some more money for 2012 and we add two more solid prospects in our efforts to re-tool the farm.  Cardenas has a chance to be a player as soon as next year and Lambo adds depth to our thinest position.

Los Angeles gets two players who will step right in and contribute in their pennant chase this year.  Pretty straight forward deal, some pretty big names were being bounced around, this is where the talks landed.  Thanks Howe for the easy talks, confirm at your leisure.
