Title: Pirates trade for Cubs' Jose Reyes

I feel that the Buccos are close to contention.  This deal also gives the Cubs some high level prospects, depth, draft picks, and a restored farm system.

Pirates trade:
C Sanchez, Tony, $0.5m (P-n/a) + $2.5m bonus
CI Waring, Brandon, $0.5m (2011)
MI Allen, Brandon, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Joyce, Matt, $0.5m (P-2011)
P Thompson, Brad, $0.5m (2010)
P Torres, Carlos, $0.5m (P-n/a)
2-4 PIT
2-22 PIT (from ATL)
2-25 PIT (from CIN from LAA)

Cubs trade:
MI Reyes, Jose, $6m (2011)
OF Cunningham, Aaron, $0.5m (P-n/a)

This may look a big sell, but Reyes is having his injury issues over the past few years.  I have a lot of MI depth (and so did the Pirates), but this deal turns my farm system around.  I may end up going for Zobrist and others in FA, so I think I will be just fine.

If you check the rules, you cannot trade a OFA until June - Brandon Waring was a OFA signing...

"Off-season free agency (OFA)
OFA begins at a set date (see Deadlines) and will last until the first game of the season.  The exact dates will be posted in the league schedule. Note that offseason free agent signings may be not be traded in the following season until June.  OFA bids for a position cannot be opened until the dates below."

All such players were acquired via trade of FA-09.
