Nope, MiLR is still his team, just his Minor League squad. Similar to the AHL, but only for roster purposes, stats are not kept for AHL teams, and players on the MiLR can score points if and when they play in the NHL.

As I wrote in the post with the changes to MiLR you can send down one prospect that you have aquired in a trade to your MiLR. This is a one time deal. Any other ones will keep there current contracts on your MLR
