Phillies make this trade to improve the team in the short term. The FA SS market was to rich in length of contract for available options and without a short term solution available outside of Ryan Goins and Yadiel Rivera to man SS a trade was needed. I view Anderson and Robles as very similar profiles, Encarnacion is a long way away and I felt he was a fair add to make up the difference in the current floor level between Anderson and Robles.

Twins to confirm.

Twins deal for the wealth of SS to add a couple of minor leaguers that I really like.Robles is a player with a all star ceiling. Encarnacion is a player that I feel will have a breakout season this year and reminds me a lot of  Nomar Mazara.  I agree with everything that Phillies said. It was an easy trade.
