Title: St. Louis/Houston deal 2/1/16 -- 11:51 am ET

Houston receives:
Matt Wisler .5(p-2018)
Matt Reynolds .5(p-n/a)
Lucas Sims .5(p-n/a)
Matt Adams 4(2019)

St. Louis receives:
Jace Peterson .5(p-n/a)
Mike Leake 6.5(2017)

to be approved by Houston.

The Cardinals make this deal to give me another solid starting option at MI since Owings may now split time and Reyes may or may not be suspended.  I'm also very happy to add another strong starting pitching option to my already deep starting rotation without having to add much salary.  Giving up young pitching was tough, as I like Sims and Wisler, but I have a fair amount of young pitching between my MLB and MiLB rosters and can give up a little of the depth to solidify my team now.

I am addressing my needs at CI and continuing to stock young players while dumping salary.
