Title: Bs flip D for Fwds
Post by: jackdaniels on February 01, 2016, 11:09:03 AM

Trade to Jackets
Marc Methot, $3.5m (2014-2017)
Marco Scandella, $3.3m (2015-2018)

To Bs
Brandon Dubinsky, $3.4m (2013-2016)
Ryan Johansen, $1.5m (2013-2016)

Moving some D with term left on their contract for short term gain with a pair of fwds with expiring deals and big extensions.

Ppg to confirms.

Tough to come by D in this league.

No one wants to move one unless you ante up so we didn't just bite the bullet, we swallowed the gun too and added some blueliners. Steep price but I felt it was a huge area of weakness we absolutely had to address and they have a few years left on their contract at the end of the season.

I hate this deal, but mainly because the Bs are in my division.

I suppose this works out as a good price for those rentals.  :iatp:
