Flames have been quietly pursuing Sparks but he jumped teams when we thought we had a deal done with his previous owner.

We're coughing up Couturier and spec Fiala. Bogosian is a salary dump who pumps out less than pt a game. Saves us from a ABO. McNiven is a dump because the Habs signed him but he has talent. Burke sent over the specs he was going to release and were fine with that. Rangers to sign off.

Rangers agree to this deal with Calgary.
We were advised there was a market for Sparks and took on his sizable cap hit for that reason.

In this deal we're adding Zach's inflated contract to offset Garret going to Calgary. Sean is a building block for the new Rangers roster we're putting together. NYR starting to look like my team.
