Marlins receive:
OF Hart, Corey, $2m (2012)
The Fish did this trade to acquire a talented OF with a cheap contract that I was looking for. And it's hard to give up Polanco but I was not going to extend his contract for the next years to come. Thanks for the easy negotations Paul :toast:

Cardinals confirm. This trade gives us another CI for the remainder of the season with Morneau and Morales hopefully to return healthy next season. With Byrd and Willingham coming off the DL probably Monday we have enough OF depth. Thanks for the painless negotiations Sam!
