Title: Cardinals/Giants trade 12/13/15 5:32 pm ET
Post by: RyanJames5 on December 13, 2015, 04:08:18 PM

Cardinals trade:
OF Choo, Shin -Soo, $7m (2018)

Giants trade:
OF Trumbo, Mark, $4m (2019)
RP Baez, Pedro, $0.5m (P-2018)
RP Street, Huston, $0.5m (2016)

To be approved by San Fran

St. Louis makes this trade to cut a little bit more salary and help build up my bullpen.  Beyond those reasons I think Trumbo will work out very well in Baltimore!

Thanks Flash!

:SF: confirms.  Getting a productive, everyday OF was a priority for :SF: and this trade fills that need.  A change of scenery is probably good for Trumbo, but I thought the same thing when he went to Arizona and then Seattle--but he always seemed to be a platoon victim.  Now, maybe I won't have to juggle my OF everyday.  Baez is a productive RP, but he and Street, can be replaced during free agency.

Overall, this trade is a win-win for each because it fills definite needs for both teams.
