to

MI Castro, Starling, $6M (2014) - he is ranked 21st
his contract should be worth 5M in 2011 and 2012, 6M in 2013 and 2014.

I thought we just recently decided to have all contracts start the following year for consistency?

You are right, so it should be 6/5/5/5, is that right? or 6/5/5/5/5 for a 4 year deal?

2011 salary remains 5m.  2012 through 2015 would be 6m.

So we count the maximum number of years (in this case 4) starting from 2012?

Correct.  The extension acts as a new contract.
