Title: Orioles make a trade in the Division
Post by: shooter47 on June 17, 2011, 01:00:06 PM

The Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees have come to terms on a trade.

The Orioles trade:

C Torrealba, Yorvit, $1.5m (2011)

The Yankees Trade:

MI Cabrera, Yordy, $0.5m (P-n/a)

The Orioles do this trade to Clear some cap space of a player that was not going to be re-signed next year.  The Orioles have decent Catching propsects in the system so moving an older catcher for a high upside MI prospect was a good move.  Thanks for the easy negotiations... Yanks to confirm.

Edited the deal because Brandon Jacobs could not be traded yet.  We renegotiated the deal and settled on Yordy
