The Orioles trade

OF Pierre, Juan, $3m (2012)
X-OF Pierre, Juan, Cash Exchange on Contract through 2012, $-2.5m in 2011


The Pirates trade

P Goodnight, Michael, $0.5m (P-n/a)

The Orioles do this trade to get a decent prospect on a contract that I can cut if I need to during the draft to pay bonus money.  Juan pierre is not part of my longer term plans and I get rid of his salary next year and the 0.5M Guaranteed salary for this year.

Pirates to Confirm.

Pierre gains me an extra 5-10 PPG over my current OF3/UT production.  Easy negotiations.
