First 3 teams are done ,, Ana, ARZ and Bos.   If anyone wants to view how it will look.

The contracts on Fantrax will be 1 yr behind prosfl.  so a contract that says 2014 will be expiring this year ,  2015 expires next year.  Once we officially role the league over I will update the cap hits as well so that they will calculate and show on team pages.

Sounds like a labour of love. Kudos!

Looks good. Nice going snug.

:toast: Looks terrific Snug. Of course I will have to ask you how to delete some residual buyout contract cap hits.

One other thing you guys may want to consider is under the League setup,  Rosters and the minor league eligibility options.  Set a "make Ineligible" >=40 games for goalies and skaters.

If you do that you can then go under TEAM > Roster violations and it will show you any teams with minor league roster violations.  (basically if any team has a player on it with over 40nhl games played. )  It will make your life much easier to police if any teams have players that should pushed to their nhl roster.

Will think this over.
We have a 24hr warning rule tied to the 40 games rules for minor league players so will have to figure out how to handle this.

you can tell the system to do nothing about it but it will still flag it.  It just beats having to manually look through each team.

I notice theres a lot of extra work with the contracts on Fantrax Snugerud.
You use the fntx cap option in your league right. Hoe many teams do you have?

Re: extra work. Is there an upside to having the contracts input to Fantrax? The Draft Room looks great but the contracts will be labour intensive and seem redundant unless I'm missing something.

 :iatp:

Its awesome that you are doing the extra work, but I have to agree with this. We already have all the contracts listed on profsl, and with it not matching with what we do here, it has the potential to throw a couple people off too.

I sent Snug a PM to put the Fantrax cap entry on hold.

Love the that Snug put in the time to setup but have to say I don't see a big upside to the extra data entry on a regular basis. A small league yes but 30 teams worth of Fantrax cap updates for extensions and BOs will be more pain than gain. I like the fact I could test drive the beast but it's a beast or an ugly exwife with an uglier new husband.

18 but I also run strictly through fantrax.  All teams do their own extensions through the keeper admin and I designed the league rules to work with the fantrax so there is very little manual admin work.

The main idea i was thinking in setting up the contracts was being able to view players contract and ftps etc all on one page.  There are some advantages in that end of season when you roll over rosters it will automatically drop all the guys that are on expired contracts so would save some work there.  I will admit thought that the extra work is probably not worth it at least not with the rules in this particular league (ie. our cap hits are changing quite often with the rebate rules etc. )

The only real viable way without a bunch of extra admin work would be to switch out the cap contract management from Prosfl to fantrax but I dont think anyone in the league is ready for that major of a change.  I probably wouldnt recommend it either.

Sounds like it would work if the league was moving away from profsl. Personally I think profsl handles all the various contract elements really well while fantrax is excellent for stats.

That said, I want to say that I think the draft room being set up on fantrax looks cool. Great idea....hope it goes off well!  :toth:
