Edited post-vent... :soapbox:
Do you guys want to see me removed from this league? I am venting here, but I have been receiving more and more complaints from people about how I have been unfair in the hiring process and other parts of the league. I cannot make everyone happy. Someone ultimately loses out when I hire one person out of two or more for a position. We established a better policy after the Yankees hiring (he appears to be a very active GM though :toast:), and I made my decision based on FGM tenure. All candidates had great activity, were great members, and had done well with their teams. I chose the Rockies based on tenure and slight edge in performance (look at where they are at now). So, who wants to see me out of this league? :soapbox:

Colby,
You are our commissioner for life just like Judge Keenshaw Mountain Landis. There were always be complaints. In my mind, you are the commish until you tell us you don't want it anymore.
-
I do, if only because I hate all things Pittsburgh  ..............Of course I kid, you do a WONDERFUL job in all phases of ProFSL. You can't make everyone happy all the time, but those who pay attention know that you do all things above board and take great pains to be as fair as possible....hang in there, we support you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No way, you diplomatically handle every situation. No one could handle the job the way that you do.
People just need to stop complaining. I have been saying this for months.
-
Hell bud you do a fine job as you can't please everyone all the time. You picked who you thought would do the best job.KUDOS :winner:

Thanks guys for the support... Just venting.
I am going to release a first of its kind GM List that shows the pecking order of GMs for moving to a new franchise. This will be comlpletely transparent.

Like others have said, you do an outstanding job Colby. Ppl will complain, but that comes with the territory, nothing personal.

Colby, being a commish of a fantasy league is the hardest job. Not everyone is going to be happy about decisions that have been made. People need to realize that decisions have to be made. I thank you for always answering my questions and I think you do a fantastic job!!!! :winner:

Easy for you to say Howe, you were selected. It would be interesting to see how you would feel if the shoe were on the other foot.
My complaint is not with you Colby, per se. You are the only man for the job period . But, you took it upon yourself to make an Executive decision and it didn't have to be that way. From the beginning of the process I think it should have been up to the league and as much as said so in Reply #15, Dodgers GM Seat:
"I'm interested, with the blessing of the league of course". Sorry but you set yourself up for it.
The other thing that bothered me is that the Dodgers position was billed as a "promotion" (Reply #18, Dodgers GM Seat) and I didn't get it. Maybe I shouldn't have but, yes, I did take that personally.
I hope this clears the air because I really wish this would have remained between Colby and myself and that I didn't even have to make this post. But, what's done is done; I am the cause of it and I felt it necessary.
Hopefully there a no hard feelings and we can continue business as usual.

Rick, Colby, Others:
Having a league run through a forum is no easy task. Discussion can be very difficult through the written/typed medium. The obvious example; nobody truly know where my inflections are, and what tone I am actually writing this through. Therefore, as we read posts, somethings may come across skewed. This may or may not have been what occurred between you guys, Rick and Colby.
I sympathize with Rick's position, transparency must be one of our highest objectives. Clear communication is essential. The decision shouldn't be one that Colby feels he must arbitrarily make. It should be according to a certain standard, and I think tenure is certainly the only cure. But we have had this discussion prior.
Colby, you're the only guy for this job. You cannot think we'd even let you step down . You deserve a system that isn't based upon a choice you feel you have to make. It should be a standard system, one in which the decision is out of your hands.
Rick, I'm sorry you weren't chosen for the job. I know you're happy staying in Chicago, whether or not LAD would have been an upgrade. I really do understand your feelings as mine were similar during the NYY hiring.
Let us not allow this to be anything for hard feelings in the future. Seems like an honest situation misunderstood. In summary COLBY YOU CANT GO ANYWHERE!!!

Official policy has been adopted. It would have hired Howe over Rick due to their one week tiebreaker based on the Rockies performance in 2009 and half of 2010 as compared to the White Sox. Both are stellar GMs, FGM members, and ProFSL members.

????????????
Whatever.I've only had one full season(2010) and was 9 games better than the Rockies.
