Title: Phillies - Reds Trade
Post by: papps on July 27, 2015, 12:08:50 PM
jblum and I want to repost the trade as it has been moved to invalid before the TC could cast more than 1 vote.  We are both happy with this trade and think it is fair for both teams.

:PHI: gets
MI-OF Hernandez, Cesar, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Cain, Matt, $9.5m (2015)
:CIN: pays $9.5m

:CIN: gets
C Stassi, Max, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Feliz, Michael, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Phillies do this to plug some holes to make a run this year.  We are gambling that Cain will stay healthy and if he does he is a possible resign.  I'm also hoping Hernandez finds a way to stay in the lineup when Utley returns.  Stassi was expendable with Swihart and Hedges on my roster.  Feliz is a decent spec we had to part with.

Thanks jblum for the negotiations and good luck!  :toast:

Reds confirm. We hope stassi can snap out of his slump and get in the big leagues asap. Same thing with feliz who can become a top starter imo

First off, not disrespect to Flash and Tarheels, they are experienced and very active GMs but this trade should go through. It was look very bad for the league if this trade doesn't go through as I think it would pass in any league. I don't plan on resigning either player for the 2016 season and later. Hernandez at best is a UT player for the worse team in baseball and Cain has some value but is injury prone. I am a huge fan of Feliz and with the catching situation in Houston, Stassi is one injury away from getting called up so I am getting two young MLBers coming up.

Also, the TC needs to be more active and not ignore these trades so things like this won't happen again.

Flash and BHows... if this trade isn't allowed to be resposted because it got vetoed, we have another trade if this can't go through

We felt like more people should be able to vote
