Title: pirates /red sox strike deal
Post by: nerwffej on May 20, 2011, 06:00:33 PM

Red Sox trade
MI DeWitt, Blake, $6m (2013)
X-MI DeWitt, Blake, Cash Exchange on Contract, $-3.5m in 2011 +2.5 2011 =5.5 mil total
SP Maholm, Paul, $5m (2011)
X-SP Maholm, Paul, Cash Exchange on Contract, $-1.5m in 2011 +3 mil in 2011= 4.5 mil total

Pirates trade
SP Wimmers, Alex, $0.5m (P-n/a)

i do this deal because i shed dead weight for further years in dewitts contract and moholm wasnt going to be resigned and it brings in another prospect to add to the farm system

I accept... Maholm and Dewitt should give me ample depth.

I'll confirm, the Red Sox move the Kotchman-esque bad contract of Dewitt for a small return.
