Post by: patjossom on April 03, 2015, 08:14:37 PM

Rockies and Cards have agreed on another deal which....

Cards send:

CI/OF Pearce, Steve, $1.5m (P-2016)
SP Eovaldi, Nathan, $0.5m (P-2015)

Rockies send:

C Alfaro, Jorge, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Rua, Ryan, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Vogelbach, Dan, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Cards to confirm.

Rockies move some MiLB depth for a couple of vets to fill out their lineup.  Thanks again Paul, good luck.

Note:  48 hour clock was reset because of the question regarding Steve Pearce's contract.

Cards confirm.  We bring in some more prospects as we continue to try keep salaries manageable.  Pearce and Eovaldi were expendable due to our depth at those positions.  Thanks Pat!

Is the Pearce contract correct? Is he at prospect status with 1.5m annually?

No, it is not correct.  Should be $1.5m (2016).

I'm ok. Let's process it.  Thanks.

It was just copied from the profsl roster.

I didn't notice the P in the contract.  I agreed based on a regular contract.
