Title: Reds continue the rebuilding of O's farm system
Post by: Dan Wood on May 05, 2011, 05:30:18 PM

Reds send
P Colvin, Brody, $0.5m (P-n/a)

O's send
CI LaRoche, Andy, $0.5m (2011)
P Bergesen, Brad, $0.5m (P-2012)

Reds drop
MI Turner, Justin, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Reds do this to get some depth in their system. Not as grand a trade as my NL Central counterparts have made recently, but my dumb arse still believes that Little LaRoche will turn into a player. Shooter, a pleasure dealing with you. O's to confirm.

O's Confirm the trade.  The orioles made this move to add another pitching prospect to the mix who should be ready for the big leagues around the year 2013.  It also helps clear some low-ceiling dead weight from a non contending roster and allows me room to sign another prospect.
